- Avoid training if you are unwell, taking painkillers, have an injury or experience pain, have consumed a large meal in the last two hours or have drunk alcohol.
- Check with your doctor if you are pregnant, have recently given birth, have pain, injuries or illness or for other reasons are in doubt as to whether you should train or perform any of the exercises.
- Do not use body lotion, oil or hand cream on the same day as you are going to train, this can cause you to lose your grip or slip on the bar and injure yourself.
- Drink plenty of water along the way and take breaks when you feel you need to.
- For those of you who practice pole dancing at home: Make sure that the pole is correctly mounted and that you have enough space around you on the floor.
- Avoid overtraining and reduce the risk of strain injuries. Set up healthy exercise habits where you start with 2 classes a week. Do not book two classes on the same day. Include days where you let your body rest.
Husk at øvelse gjør mester. Vær tålmodig! Slapp av, døm ikke deg selv eller sammenlign deg med andre, og viktigst av alt – ha det gøy!
